Butterflies are so free to fly
they see all the things that are so pretty in the sky
but as you see they can not hear
they listen with their sight or even their heart
There are so many on a beautiful day
why don't they come out when its a miserable day
Their always dancing from flower to flower
chasing the sunlight of their beautiful wings
People collect such rarities
but shouldn't they be left for others to see
Do you stand a watch a butterfly or do you swipe it away
They are a wonder these beautiful creatures
maybe their smarter than you and me
they only come out on beautiful days
so lets enjoy such rarities

Do you ever say what you mean
or do you hide behind the walls that nobody can see
Have you ever opened your heart
or have you thrown away the key
Do you ever sit their watching an old movie and let he odd tear flow
or do you clamp up and not drop a tear
Have you ever laughed at yourself for being a clown
or do you hide away in the corner to scared to be seen
do you give someone a hug when they feel down
or do you feel sorry for them and just give them a frown
maybe its time to find that key
and open your heart and let yourself be free
break down the walls and start being a clown
for life's to short to be sitting around

nobody was home
you tried to lie
but i saw through it
I tried to hide behind the forbidden wall
pretending I wasn't home to answer your call
I broke your heart
just like the others
you wanted more
but I wouldn't give
I pushed you away
not wanting to be hurt
you said you were sorry
lets try again
I gave you a week
or maybe two
but you wanted more and I would'nt give
Your time was up and all was not well
We didn't say good bye
for nobody was home when you made that call
